The Liberia Anti-Corruption Commission (LACC), through its Education and Prevention Department, has officially commenced the installation of Whistleblower Boxes at key Ministries, Agencies, and Commissions.

Launched on Friday, August 15, 2025, this initiative aims to provide a safe, confidential, and accessible channel for public servants and citizens to report corruption, fraud, abuse of office, and other forms of misconduct.

Phase One of the rollout includes installations at:

 • Civil Service Agency (CSA)

 • Ministry of Education

 • Ministry of Commerce & Industry

 • Liberia National Police Headquarters (Capitol Hill), Zone 3 Depot (Congo Town), and Zone 8 Depot (ELWA, Paynesville)

The initiative is supported by the Government of Liberia and falls in line with LACC’s legal mandate under the LACC Act, as well as Liberia’s obligations under the United Nations Convention Against Corruption (UNCAC), particularly Article 33.

This effort seeks to:

 • Strengthen internal control systems

 • Promote early detection of corruption

 • Encourage citizen participation

 • Build trust in public institutions

The LACC remains committed to creating safe reporting spaces and advancing the fight against corruption across all sectors of government.
