Foreign Minister Nyanti Welcomes Several Ambassadors-Designate

MONROVIA, July 15 (LINA) –The Minister of Foreign Affairs of Liberia Sara Beysolow Nyanti has welcomed several Ambassadors-designate to Liberia at her Foreign Ministry office on Capitol Hill.

The event took place on Monday, July 15, 2024, as part of the diplomatic protocol ahead of their formal presentation of letters of credence to His Excellency Joseph Nyuma Boakai, Sr., President of the Republic of Liberia, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs said in a release on Monday, July 16, 2024.

The incoming Ambassadors-designate, according to the release, paid a courtesy call on Foreign Minister Nyanti, marking the beginning of their diplomatic mission in Liberia.

The meeting precedes their separate audiences with President Boakai, during which they will officially present their letters of credence.

The statement from the Ministry added that after the official presentation of the official letters of credence, it will be followed by the formalization of their status as Ambassadors Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to the Republic of Liberia.

The Ambassadors-designate that paid a courtesy visit to Liberia's Foreign Minister include Mrs. Selma Ashipala Musavyi of the Republic of Namibia, H.E. Tamas Endre Feher of the Republic of Hungary, H.E. Edouard Nduwimna of the Republic of Burundi, H.E. Pavel Bilek of the Czech Republic, and H.E. Daniel Manhongo of the Republic of Zambia.

The names of the other visiting guests include H.E. Dr. Usra Hendra Harahap of the Republic of Indonesia, H.E. Ursula Fahringer of the Republic of Australia, H.E. Veluppillai Kananathan of the Republic of Sri Lanka, and H.E. Saad bin Bakheat Al-Qathami of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

Meanwhile, in her address separately to the ambassadors-designate, Minister Nyanti warmly welcomed the officials designate and expressed her pleasure in receiving them.

She emphasized the importance of diplomatic relations and international cooperation, highlighting Liberia's commitment to fostering strong bilateral ties with their respective countries.

The Foreign Minister underscored that the arrival of the Ambassadors-designate is a testament to the enduring partnerships and shared values between Liberia and their nations.
