U.S. Embassy Announces New Visa Service Provider Website

MONROVIA, Sept. 9 (LINA) – The U.S. Embassy near Monrovia has announced the launch of its new visa service provider's website, www.usvisaappt.com, marking the final phase of a transition that began in mid-August.

According to the U.S. Embassy statement dated Friday, September 6, 2024, the new platform will be the primary portal for applicants wishing to schedule visa interview appointments, pay required fees, and select a document delivery method.

This update follows the U.S. Embassy’s earlier statement on August 8, 2024, which notified the public that all nonimmigrant and immigrant visa application services would be suspended as of August 16, 2024.

The suspension paved the way for the retirement of the old service provider’s website, www.ustraveldocs.com, which is no longer available for scheduling appointments in Liberia.

The Embassy, according to the statement, reassured applicants who had previously booked appointments through the now defunct ustraveldocs.com that their appointments remain valid.

However, the statement indicated that all new appointments must be scheduled through the new website, adding that to ease the transition, the new platform will automatically communicate with applicants who had registered on the old site, providing instructions on how to set up their accounts on the new system.

Visa applicants are advised to regularly check the U.S. Embassy website for the latest updates and information on visa services.

The Embassy emphasized that for accurate and up-to-date details, individuals should visit https://lr.mwp.usembassy.gov/visas/.
