LNP Probes Asst. Min. Mike Jabateh Threats Against Rep. Kolubah

MONROVIA JULY 30 (LINA) – The Liberia National Police (LNP) is investigating Assistant Minister for Urban Affairs at the Ministry of Internal Affairs, Mike Jabateh, for threatening comments made against Montserrado County District #10 Representative, Yekeh Kolubah.

Speaking in an exclusive interview with the Liberia News Agency (LINA) on Tuesday, July 30, 2024, at the LNP Headquarters in Monrovia, the Spokesperson of the LNP, Madam Cecelia Clarke, confirmed that Assistant Minister Jabateh is currently in police’s custody undergoing investigation.

The LNP Spokesperson also told LINA that in due time, the LNP will update the public on the outcome of the investigation relating to the threats made by Minster Jabateh against Hon. Kolubah.

A leaked audio is making rounds on social media with a voice purporting to be Assistant Min. Jabateh making threats to hire mercenaries to kill District #10 Representative, Yekeh Kolubah if he doesn’t stop his spree of insults against the Liberian leader.

In the audio, an individual claiming to be Minister Jabateh affirmed that he is a Russian-train operative while daring of his potential to bring mercenaries to kill Hon. Kolubah.
