MONROVIA, June 15 (LINA) – The Liberian Senate has confirmed several nominees from the Ministry of Information, Culture Affairs and Tourism, the Ministry of National Defense, National Security Agency and Liberia Land Authority.

Senate Confirms Several Presidential Nominees

MONROVIA, June 15 (LINA) – The Liberian Senate has confirmed several nominees from the Ministry of Information, Culture Affairs and Tourism, the Ministry of National Defense, National Security Agency and Liberia Land Authority.

According to a report from the Senate’s committees on Defense, Security, Intelligence and Veteran Affairs and Lands, Mines, Energy, Natural Resources and Environment as well as Information, Broadcasting, Culture and Tourism, the confirmed nominees have the relevant credential, academic qualification.

The committee's report also indicated that the nominees were all responsive to the questioning and inquiries of the various committees thereby recommending their confirmation to the Plenary of the Liberian Senate during its session last Thursday.

Those confirmed from the Ministry of National Defense are Dr. Augustine T. Larmin, Deputy Minister for Administration, Spencer Leeco, Deputy Minister for Operations, William K. Toe, Assistant Minister for Administration, Richard B. Kamara, Assistant Minister for Coast Guard Operations, Allen S. Charleson Assistant Minister for Civil Work and Mr. Sorbor B. George, Assistant Minister for Public Affairs.

At the National Security Agency, the Senate confirmed Mr.  Marc Alain Amblard, Deputy Director for Special Services, Kenneth R. Harris, Assistant Director for VIP and Giovanni Shang Samuel Jr., Assistant Director for Research and Analysis.

Also, from the Ministry of Information, Culture Affairs and Tourism, the Senate confirmed Madam Kadiatu Dibbs Konteh Brohiri, Deputy Minister for Culture and Tourism and Togar Joash Hodges Commissioner for Independent Information Commission, while Mr.  Joe K. Williams was confirmed as Vice Chairperson for Customer Services at the Liberia Land Authority.
