The flag-raising ceremony brought together members of the Armed Forces of Liberia, the Liberia National Police, the Executive Protection Service, the Liberia Immigration Service, the Liberia National Fire Service, and other security institutions in a display of national pride, patriotism, and unity.
As Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Liberia, President Boakai joined the military and other security personnel in honoring the National Flag, reaffirming the enduring values of freedom, peace, and national identity that the flag represents while paying tribute to the sacrifices of those who have contributed to Liberia’s sovereignty and democratic journey.
The annual flag-hoisting ceremony remains one of the country’s most significant Independence Day traditions, symbolizing the nation’s resilience and collective commitment to preserving the ideals upon which Liberia was founded as citizens across the country observe the 179th anniversary of Africa’s oldest republic.
